Pictures

I was just wondering about the status of pictures for the last two shows...

Culmination week

We made it through Saturday's Hell.

Hell...is as it says. We run the show twice.
Hell is held on the Saturday before we open. We started Life's Hell at 2pm. We took about an hour and a half to get everything ready all costumes, lights, full props and fights. We have already been working with props and a bit of lights and music. We don't mime props. If you don't have the book you are suppose to have, use something else....anything, just get something in your hand until the proper object is obtained.

Life's a Dream.....really.

Rehearsals have begun.
This is unlike anything I have ever done before. Things will be going on in the least expected places during the show and intermissions. My improv skills are going to be tested.

Impatiently waiting...

I'm so looking forward to January. Taming of the Shrew will be my first Prenzie show, and I'm anxious to get started. Not only will this be my first Prenzie show, it will be my first "real" Shakespeare, and the first time I've been on stage since summer 2006 (Genesius Guild). I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday season, and I'll see you all in the new year!

stab stab stab

Fights are going smoothly. Weapons and hand to hand or armed and unarmed. The cast are learning their choreography very quickly and were very eager to get weapons in their hands. Many safety issues were discussed and more are on the way. I'm a safety girl. I think that drives many people crazy at times, but it is me. It is the way I was first taught many years ago getting ready for King Lear and the fights in that behemoth of a show. My biggest issues are making sure the actors stay safe but also that they can sell the fights. This mostly deals with staging and the POW! OOF! SLAM!

Took some publicity shots

Got to look at the 'new' space on Saturday. We are using the upstairs auditorium at the Masonic Temple. It is quite nice. Less echo. Carpet. Better chairs.
